BCI at DRJ Fall world 2017
DRJ Fall World took place in Phoenix, AZ in September 2017 and as usual the BCI were heavily involved. The BCI USA chapter provided the content for the Senior Advanced Track which saw material presented by Harlan Loeb, Andrew Liuzzi, Brian Zawada, Jay Geppert and Jim Kastle.
The BCI Americas Awards were also presented to 8 winners (left) during the Tuesday lunch break. These winners now go forward to the BCI Global Awards in London in November. The winners were Dustin Mackie, TELUS, Adrian Fuentes Flores, Melanie Lucht, OnSolve, Fusion, Humana and Tracey Forbes-Rice.
BCI USA Chapter President Brian Zawada also gave a presentation that summarised recent BCI research activity which included;
- BCI/BSI Horizon Scan
- BCI Cyber Resilience Report
- BCI Emergency Communications Report
- BCI ISO 22301 Benchmarking Report
- BCI Supply Chain Resilience Report
- BCI Workplace Recovery Report
There was a lot of interest in particular from the audience in the cyber resilience research, with some disagreement (or surprise) regarding the bottom two numbers on this infographic. It was suggested that further research could be conducted on what are proper BC arrangements for a cyber incident, as well as the best ways to validate plans for a cyber incident.
